| Some stories in the Bible are... well, totally sweet. One of my favorite episodes in the Bible: "Aaron and Miriam badmouths Moses..." (from the book of Numbers)
Miriam and Aaron began to talk against Moses because of his Cushite wife, for he had married a Cushite. "Has the LORD spoken only through Moses?" they asked. "Hasn't he also spoken through us?" And the LORD heard this. (Now Moses was a very humble man, more humble than anyone else on the face of the earth.)
At once the LORD said to Moses, Aaron and Miriam, "Come out to the Tent of Meeting, all three of you." So the three of them came out. Then the LORD came down in a pillar of cloud; he stood at the entrance to the Tent and summoned Aaron and Miriam. When both of them stepped forward, he said, "Listen to my words: "When a prophet of the LORD is among you, I reveal myself to him in visions, I speak to him in dreams.
But this is not true of my servant Moses; he is faithful in all my house.
With him I speak face to face, clearly and not in riddles; he sees the form of the LORD. Why then were you not afraid to speak against my servant Moses?"
The anger of the LORD burned against them, and he left them.
When the cloud lifted from above the Tent, there stood Miriam—leprous, like snow. Aaron turned toward her and saw that she had leprosy. (story continues with Moses pleading for forgiveness on behalf of Aaron and Miriam, and the Lord heals her.)
Dude, the Lord had moses's BACK. ...sweet.

| Audrey turned 6 months this week. I can't believe how fast that was. I wish I could press a life-rewind button and just live the last 6 months again, because though I spent a lot of time with her, I feel as though I still missed out on so much. Anyways, back to BAR studying...
New pics.

| I wrote this for hershy's xanga, but it turned out to be pretty long, and so i'm just gonna post it here too.
top 5 things to do at yosemite
5. picnicing at the foot of el-capitan. - "El Capitan" is the largest single piece of granite in the world. the things like forever tall. there are two picnic areas at the foot of el-capitan, cathedral being the one with the best view. bring a beach towel, bring your swim shorts (if you can withstand the chilly waters of merced river), and bring a pair of binocs to check out the brave souls climbing the near-vertical cliffs of el-capitan. Since it takes 3 days to climb that thing, you can come back the next day to see how far they've gone up.
4. climb the rocks of bridal veil falls - (easier to do in june/july, when there's less water thus the rock's aren't slippery.) The series of house-sized boulders under bridal veil falls can be climbed with just a good pair of tennis shoes. add just a little bit of climbing SKEELS, you can go right up to the falls and actually stand under the falling water. what's it like under a 700ft waterfall? go and find out.
3. camping at little yosemite valley - A small camp site that's a 4 hour hike up from the valley. only accessible by foot, and you gotta pack everything including tent, food, and trash. great hike getting there (mist trail), great destinations available once you're there, (half dome, cloud's rest) this is the "rough" part of yosemite that really makes you feel like you're out there in the woods. if you wanna sleep in the wild, WITH the wildlife you gotta go to little yosemite valley. (bears EVERYWHERE. last time, one came by and took all our trail mix, right in front of our eyes. that thing almost stepped on joo's head.)
2. Mist trail - if you've seen the movie "the Mission," you remember the scene where he's climbing a waterfall with a sack of metal armor hanging off his back. well, this is kind of like that, but without the sack of metal armor. a long rocky canyon leads up to a 300ft waterfall (vernon falls) and the whole time the mist from the waterfall is flowing down the entire valley. This would be an amazing hike if it ended there, but just when you finish climbing vernon falls, you get ANOTHER towering waterfall (nevada falls) to scale. sitting at the very edge of nevada falls, looking down the 600 ft drop is definitely somethhing i'm never letting audrey do. (makes my heart jump, just thinking of it.)
1. Half Dome - no words can describe the final 300ft climb up the sheer face of half-dome. If you call yourself an outdoorsman, you gotta climb half dome atleast once. it's that simple.
